Cellar Hand – Third Shift
The Cellar Hand will work directly with the Packaging Manager to provide
technical cider making expertise on site.
-Primary job function will be to operate the tunnel pasteurizer and troubleshoot
-Assist in the process of packaging cider into kegs and cans.
-Operate keg washing and filling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
-Assist with shipping and receiving of raw material and product.
-Follow safe work standards in all tasks to prevent injury or damage to property
-Maintain a clean and safe work space, complying with Austin Eastciders’
policies and procedures as well as OSHA and EH&S laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate:
Has a self-starter attitude, who can work independently with limited guidance.
Follows procedures efficiently, responsibly, and with pride. Ability to take
direction, detailed oriented, and able to multi task. Has experience working with
packaging equipment but willing to learn new processes or procedures. Can work
and communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
-Able to stand for long periods of time and perform physically demanding work
-Capable of working on and around potentially hazardous machinery, equipment,
chemicals and systems safely
-High School Diploma or GED
-Experience in a production environment
-Familiarity with CIP processes
-Can safely lift 75+ pounds frequently
-Flexible schedule (9 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift)
-Must be at least 21 years of age
